Sometimes we lose touch with that version of ourselves in all of the rushing and the doubting … and the comparing! We’ve heard the quote …. You are you and that is your super power!
But what if it feels like everyone else has a better super power?
Or like you put your superpower down somewhere and forgot to pick it back up?
Or you used to have a super power but now you’ve got sleep deprivation, a dumper truck sticker on the back of your dress and Postman Pat has snuck into your work bag! (actual footage of my return to work after maternity leave)! 🤷♀️
One of the great privileges of being a coach or leader is helping others to be the best version of themselves! We can only do that - if we know what the best version of us looks, feels and sounds like!
It’s not about being a brand new you - it’s about being you at your best, more often!
Being at your best isn’t about creating a brand new version of yourself or about reinventing who you are. It is about being at your best more often.
You already have those moments/days/weeks where you feel amazing and things just click into place. When we start to recognise those moments and what helps to create them - we can create more of them!
For some of us it is linked to knowing our strengths and using them!
For others it’s about connection and the relationships we build and the support we get and give!
You might be at your best when you are engaged and absorbed in your work (or hobbies). That beautiful feeling of flow where things feel effortless and we lose track of time!
Maybe it’s when you are in pursuit of Huge Unbelievably Great Goals!
For most of us, it’s a mix of all of these things.
What I want you to think about is the 10 out of 10 version of you!
What does the 10/10 Best and Bravest version of you look like? sound like? feel like?
What is going on for you when you feel 10 out of 10?
